Hey all! I'm Emma, or Ejadeemerald as most of you will know me! I have just completed the ABC Baby Challenge on YouTube and wanted to share the rules I used and also a poster I created, this will make it much easier for those of you wanting to do the challenge in your game!The purpose of this challenge is to have your sim give birth to 26 children, each one with their name beginning with each letter of the alphabet. So for example in my challenge the first baby is called Alexis, the second is called Brianna, the third is called Chris, and so on, until your sim has had the last baby. The challenge will end once baby Z is born.THE RULES:
Creating the Sim
1. Create your female young adult human sim, she can look however you want her to. My sim Autumn has pink hair!
2. You can also name her whatever you like, but choose her surname wisely as all the children will have this as their surname as well (however you can also double barrel the child's surname if you wish & the father has a short enough surname, for example one of Autumn's children is called Rosie Oakridge-Kibo).
3. Give the sim the Family-Oriented and Romantic traits, and then choose the third trait yourself, preferably something that may help the sim to make money!
4. The sim needs to start with the Serial Romantic aspiration, and once she has completed this she can have one of the family aspirations. The Super Parent aspiration from the Parenthood game pack is a great choice for this.
5. CC can be used, but only for CAS. This is due to some CC Build/Buy items sometimes costing very few simoleons but being a higher quality item.
Moving In - Set Up
1. You must play with ageing on Normal
2. When starting up, make sure your sim moves into an empty lot that she can afford (in any of the sims 4 worlds, I used Newcrest but it's your choice), and then either build a basic house for your sim or download a house from the gallery, this must NOT exceed the cost of 20,000 simoleons. Make sure the house has one bathroom & at least one bedroom, however two bedrooms would be better as you want to start having babies asap! As you gradually have more babies, you can expand the house.
3. Your sim must not have a job (active career or otherwise), she can however make money by painting, collecting, gardening or by any other means of making money. NO vet clinics or businesses allowed if you own GTW or Cats&Dogs. Also not allowed is using the City Living careers and only working from home, this still counts as a job/career so is not allowed.
General Gameplay Rules
1. NO MODS that will influence the amount of babies the sim has at a time.
2. If you use MC Command Centre you must not use the child support payments. If they get given automatically you must deduct the money earned so you're back where you were before the payment.
5. No cheats that will influence the amount of babies born at a time, or influence the gender.
6. You can however redeem the 'Fertility' reward trait once your sim has enough satisfaction points, and you can also use the 'On Ley Line' lot trait. If you have Spa Day installed, your sim can have a fertility massage if they wish.
7. If you have Get To Work try to get your sim to have each baby at the hospital, so that she can keep the birth certificates. I kept mine on a wall with pictures of the children next to it.
8. If you adopt a child it will NOT count as one of the children for the challenge.
9. Your sim MUST have each child with a different father, and the only exception to this is if she has twins.
10. You must NOT hire a nanny or butler (Vintage Glamour Stuff) to take care of your children for you, however if you have teenagers in your household they may help with the younger children. Child sims can also help by doing the dishes & using the washing machine (if you own Laundry Day Stuff). You are allowed to invite the baby dads round to help with the children if you wish, however they are not allowed to move in as your main sim is ultimately responsible for her children in her household.
11. Your sim can have children with humans, vampires and aliens alike, however she must be human herself & not at any point in the challenge be turned into a vampire.
12. Once your toddler has level 3 in all their toddler skills you can age them up, this will help them as children too.
13. Once your child has completed their childhood aspiration they can age into a teen. If they also manage to get an A in elementary school this will also help them greatly when they become a teen.
14. Once your teen has an A in high school they can age into a young adult & move out. You can keep them for a little while to help out if you want to, however the quicker you get that A & move them out, the quicker your sim can become pregnant with the next baby.
15. If you have Romantic Garden Stuff, you must NOT use the wishing well to wish for a child.
16. If you own Cats & Dogs you must not move in a cat or a dog into your household, as this will hinder your progress in the challenge. You need to have all household spaces available for children. However if you own My First Pet Stuff then you may have a rodent in your game if you wish.
Tips & Tricks
1. I suggest using auto lights on all rooms in the house as this will save money on bills.
2. I have a wall in Autumn's bedroom where she puts selfies up of her & each baby dad, this is useful as it keeps track of which male sims in the world have already 'donated their services' ;-)
3. You are allowed to have TestingCheatsOn if you need to reset a sim who has glitched.
4. If you need to quickly get a sim from one part of the house to another in an emergency, for example a fire in the kitchen or one of the toddlers is about to be taken away from hunger as they've just woken up from a nap, you may use the teleport cheat. You do this by right clicking on the floor of the room you wish to teleport to & selecting 'teleport'.
